Jul 7- Arrive Buenos Aires
Upon arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel. The balance of the day is at leisure to explore Buenos Aires - a complex, energetic, and seductive port city.
Jul 8 - Buenos Aires City Tour
Today your guided tour includes a stop at the Plaza de Mayo. You will see the balcony where Eva Peron and her husband used to address the crowds below. Next, see the Cabildo (town hall), a fascinating old colonial building fronted by arches that once encircled the plaza, back during the May Revolution in 1810. The interior houses a small museum, which displays some interesting architectural relics, religious icons and watercolor paintings by Enrique Pellegrini. You will also visit the other important buildings around the Plaza de Mayo including the Neoclassical Catedral Metropolitan, which houses the tomb of General Jose de San Martin, the revered hero who liberated Argentina from the Spanish. Later, proceed to La Boca, where an assortment of brightly painted low houses made of wood and metal line the streets. This evening, enjoy dinner at one of Buenos Aires’ excellent restaurants. No visit to Argentina is complete without attending a performance of the tango – perhaps the best expression of that spirit - a dance of intimate separation and common rhythm, combining both an elegant reserve and an exuberant passion.
